California's Proposition 8
http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/news-releases-stories/church-readies-members-on-proposition-8
Here is the entire text of the amendment:
"Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California."
Simple. There is no text changing anyone's rights. There is no new government regulation. California is the most progressive state when it comes to special rights for gays. For some gays equal rights are not enough, hate crimes laws are not enough, special rights are not enough, they want government to enforce their beliefs at the point of a gun and modify the English language.
Let's keep everyone on equal footing. Let's not change our language. Let's vote yes on Proposition 8.
